I have found a Dofus Private Server setup that looks very promising.

I am willing to run this on a "trial" basis for a couple months.
After that if we plan to keep the server up and running I will need donations.
These donations will be used to pay for the hosting among other things.
It costs $10 per month to pay for the hosting that I will need.
I see this as a way to develop the Dofus community, with the (first? and) best english private server.
I won't pretend that this version is 100% up-to-date but it is a private server none-the-less!

Moderators on the forums here get "Super Moderator Status" and Elites can apply for "Moderator Status" in the server.
Once the server goes to a paid service provider it will be Elite only.

Then mods will be mods and I will have only 2 admin accounts on the server total.
Elites will then be set to regular players.

Post your opinions on this, the more feedback and positive outlook towards the paid service, the more likely this is to happen.
If there is too much negative feedback or none at all the project will be scraped.

Okay, all problems with the server are fixed. I will provide two options to login to the game with the 1.29.1 client.

I haven't decided if I'm going to embed it or distribute, if distribute I'm going to provide multiple options, otherwise I will provide a single one.

Currently, I have two level 800 Admins, one named admin (much much stronger) and one named Lilwitte (for when I'm get bored of Admin)

I'll upload a video preview of the server later. Remeber, this server is just for fun =P

Oh, and just an fyi... The character "Admin" is virtually unbeatable with his stats. Haha. (multiple 10s of thousands each and has the full champion set and all spells level 6 etc etc)

Right now I will post a link once the site is finished (I have to make a site for it now...) in the Elite section.

The elites will be able to sign up accounts on the server via a form.

Once accounts are made they simply follow the instructions to play the game in the browser.

I started playing dofus 5 years ago, for the last 4 years i have been waiting for a private server. I think this would be an amazing project, I would be more then happy to donate money to keep it running.

I would also try to apply for a admin/mod. As I have alot of experience in dofus and in moderating.

Haha, well my Php is rusty (I forgot how to use echo and html to make links) and I didn't quite set up port forwarding for the mysql database right so that has to be fixed. I have the site up and running half-way. The registration page is there but not working (db.php problem, not connecting to my server) the game can be loaded but the index page isn't up and running.

Haha, well, bad news brings more bad news and makes me look dumb.

My port forwarding on my router hasn't kicked in yet I think, so that pushes me back a day.

For some reason connecting from the online IP or something is killing the ability of the client to login.

I can load up just fine but when I type in user/pass it says no server found. (the server program barely logs any attempt at a login on some of these attempts)

The db.php seems to not work still since the registration page isn't working right and etc. etc.

I'm working out the kinks right now so please bear with me.

I've also got to juggle school with all this

Spanish, English, Tech, Math, Weightlifting, Bio, Contemp Issues (not in that order though =D)

Haha, well, here is the problem. All the stuff is set up right on my end. (Server runs great and mysql is going fine)

But when I put the client on a opposite end (the server I have with shared hosting) it doesn't connect to mysql or the server.

I've tried everything but nothing works.

I've scrapped the project, the website is taken down and the files deleted. I'm still looking into other things to bring to the site though.

I will vouch that the server emulator works very nicely but I was unable to get it to work beyond localhost even when I wasn't behind a router.

I had to scrounge for 1.29.1 and i deleted it by accident. I'll look for another copy. And get the files stored away in a Zip.
I can't launch the server since I had too many problems connecting from a remote computer.
If any elite or higher wants to try PM me for the links and I'll get into providing.
