The monster can't attack you the pbae works, or you can pl with a warrior/armsman/hero with the ae shield skill .

To climb, you have to make an high jump, some people use the windows chat, other use the daoc windows in the windowed mode :

Jump and at the same time click on the top of the daoc windows, wait few seconds, stop clicking, you will make an high jump

Note: you can climb camelot, tir na nog too
