I don't think there is, although I have only just started using emerald myself, but why would it be a problem for others to know you are using emerald?

There's options in Emerald to mask yourself, I suggest looking through ALL of the options in the Emerald tab under Preferences. Not sure why you'd want to hide your Emerald tag though, seems half of the SL population is using it these days.

when you're in world click ctrl-p, then go down to emerald, then click shields, then choose Stealth Mode.. and BAM ! its hidden... it doesen't happen right that second but in a few hours maybe.. i dont know the exact time but it works FOR SURE !

That's ok unless you want to protect your skin. Doing stealth mode means copybotters could steal your skins/clothings.

If you do http://christabuchanan.blogspot.com/2009/1...ent-id-tag.html it the way this girl called April Swift does it you will be stealth or spoof other viewers and still able to protect your skins. This is for emerald users but on neillife it is as easy as clicking on the viewer u'd like to spoof.

here are the xml files that neil uses on his viewers to remain undetectable

instructions

go into the root folder of where you downloaded your modded sl viewer

then go to apps_setting folder.

now replace the settings.xml in the folder depending what viewer you are using and you cannot be detected

also includes the cryolife, vlife, meerkat and gemini patches

what does that patch do exactly? does it affect your settings? does it add something hidden in that file that isnt accessable through emerald already or does it just switch off/on the settings that make you undetectable? in emerald theres soemthing called stealth mode that i currently use apparently it works but the problem is that it disables emerald feature of masking you to provide some protection from copybots. does this patch allow me to keep this setting enabled while still making it unknown to other emerald users that im using emerald?
