Hello everyone. If you have played two of the most popular computer FPS games around, Counter Strike: 1.6, or Counter Strike: Source, then you know about the fun map cs_office. This map is really fun because of the large amount of rooms and all of the places in which you dont know what is coming to you. This guide will be about how I do good on this sometimes difficult but popular map.

I.
Buying weapons in cs_office, as well as every single other map, is a must. You need to have good weapons to kill people, as well as weapons that you feel comfortable with. This is the most important part of a round. When you are buying, make a good decision. If you want accuracy and range, get a sniper (aWP or Scout). If you want close-quarter combat, go with an SMG or a Shotgun, like a TMP. If you want some range, some accuracy, you should buy a rifle like a M4A1 or an AK47. Always buy a pistol, because if your main weapon runs out of ammo or if you just feel like you want to have to click every time you want to shoot, you need to have a pistol. An important thing to remember when buying weapons and such is planning ahead. What do you think you will need? Personally, im always using either an SMG or M4A1. They are, in my opinion, good for this map. Your opinion may be totally different, though.

After you have purchased your weapons for the first time, there is no need to purchase them again. Every round, at the beginning when you have the oppertunity to buy, press F2 to automatically buy what you had the previous round. If you dont like what you the previous round, press F1 to buy the weapons you had the first round. Also, ALWAYS buy 2 Smoke grenades, 2 flash grenades, and a frag grenade. You will need them. And if you dont, they will be kept with you to the next round.

Living in cs_office isn't difficult. And, you don't even need to be a camper to do it! All it requires is a little patience and some strategy. First things first, never rush - alone. Always stay in a group when moving about. Also, let people go ahead of you. Stay towards the middle of the group. This way, you wont be the first to die from the back or the front. Also, when rounding corners, let people go in front of you and wait to see if they die. If they are still alive after a second or two, then it is safe to say that you can follow them. If they die, continue to wait it out a little bit and wait for them to come to you. If they don't come to you, wait for them to start moving the other way, then rush and hit them from behind. (Note: After an enemy attacks or gets attacked, they show up on your radar! Use this to your advantage.)

Another good technique is staying in spawn. The T's do it all the time, protecting their hostages desperately. The CT's can do it, too though. Just stay away and out of sight behimd something big, and your all good. Kill all enemies who come within range.

Killing in cs_office is tough work. You need to use all of the previous techniques for living, while using the following techniques for killing. The first technique is: After an ally goes around a corner, ALWAYS through a flash and a frag grenade after them. This prevents the enemy from killing your friend, and if you follow your grenades in quick succession, you will even be able to kill your enemy. It will be worth the team flash, trust me. Another good technique for killing is to wait it out. Im not talking about camping, but if you have no ally's or grenades left, wait for a few seconds before rounding a corner. You will catch your enemy off guard before he can do the same to you. Be careful, though. There may be a camper on the other side of the wall. This is why buying that second flash nade is always a good idea.

Another good strategy to kill in cs_office is to spray. Sometimes aiming just isn't enough, and there are enemies. If you run into T spawn with an M249, what should you do? No, you shold NOT pick off all of the T's who have their crosshair aimed at your head. You should spray, and pray to dear god that you kill them all. Sometimes that big burly god helps you out dearly and lets you kill them nasty terrorists.
